Magni Italia 01/01 retro-style motorcycle unveiled

Italian motorcycle manufacturer Magni Italia 01/01 was developed as a tribute to its founder Arturo Magni, who died in 2015. It combines a retro-style design with a trendy MV Augusta engine.

Magnie founded the company in which she kept her name in 1977 after working for MV Augusta for 26 years; In particular, he led his racing division. Appropriately, the styling of the Italia 01/01 was inspired by styling tips from around MV Augusta racing bikes such as round lights, aerodynamic fair around the handlebars and short tail.

The designers did not attach the panels to the floor of the bike to place the frame – which was developed internally – and the engine was suspended. Magni created this look from its founder. “It gave the bike a sporty look while looking at the beauties of the mechanical structure of the engine,” he regularly points out.

Speaking of the engine, the Italia 01/01 MV works with 798cc three cylinders coming from Augusta. Features not released, but the Triple in its basic configuration produces 125 horsepower and 60 pound feet of torque. The Brembo provided the brakes, designed the oram suspension and the 18-inch wheels came from Jonich. Magni worked with Italian suppliers to build a bicycle named after his hometown.

Magnus did not reveal what Italia was after 01/01. We do not know if this is a unique model or if it will go into production in the coming months. When built, it will no doubt be available in absolutely limited numbers. We have contacted the company for additional details and will update this article as we find out more.

When MV Augusta introduced the SuperVelos 800 in 2018, it explored the same dimension of its heirloom as the Magni. Presented as a concept, the bike will be sold in 2020 with a three-cylinder engine like the Italia.
